Naked Haircare

I've read lots of good reviews about Naked's products so when I saw they them on offer  2 for £6  in Boots I decided to try them for myself.

Naked Haircare

Care  Mild Shampoo

The perfect scalp-friendly shampoo. It's incredibly gentle and since I've started using it I've barely had any problems with flakes or itching. Of course the effects of a lot of shampoos I've used to soothe my scalp have worn off over time, so I'll see if I'm still feeling so positive in a few months. This may become a holy grail for me.

Shine  Silky Conditioner

This is very thick so you only need a little bit, particularly if you've got fine hair like me. Despite this it washes out easily and leaves me hair feeling silky and soft without it being weighed down. It doesn't quite eliminate the frizz caused by the combination of my hair's natural texture and the glorious Welsh weather but frankly nothing does.

Detox  2-in-1 Shampoo

I first read about this on Evelyn's blog and I have to confess that since I bought it I've been hooked. It smells a bit strange but in terms of making your hair feel fresh and clean it works wonders. It's a 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner so regular use can make your roots feel a little greasy  it's best if you use it once a week or so to get rid of build up.

Volume  Weightless Conditioner

Unlike the detox shampoo, this smells lovely (passionflower and grape). I notice a difference even when I'm washing this off in the shower. True, it doesn't work miracles but it gives my hair more oomph and enhances my natural curls, all without drying out the ends, so it's a thumbs up from me.

Using these products has made me think. I'm starting to wonder whether the reason they all work so well on my hair and scalp is because of the natural ingredients (97% natural according to the bottles) and the lack of nasty chemicals.

I'll hold my hands up and say that I don't think about what goes into my cosmetics and toiletries as much as I should but I would like to try more natural products.

If anyone has any recommendations for brands I could investigate I'd really appreciate it!

  2. I've used the mild shampoo before and it turns out I was allergic to it :(!! The detox shampoo sounds really nice though. I like to use one every other week to get rid of all the product build up. I'll keep an eye out for this next time I'm in boots xxx

  3. I'm forever reading good things about this range! I got an app on my phone called Think Dirty, you basically scan products and it tells you how 'clean' they are...my bathroom cabinet is full of nasties apparently! Although I'll still use them it kind of shocked me xxx
