In My Make Up Bag #1

Wednesday, 28 May 2014

I have to admit, I haven't been wearing much make up this month because, until recently, I've been revising for exams and not really caring what state my face is in. When I have ventured outside I've tried to keep it simple, fresh and fuss free.

In My Make-Up Bag
Make up bag from Waldo Pancake

Topshop Brow Pencil in Brown (£6): Another wonderful discovery from Topshop's make up line. This pencil is a natural-looking medium brown and there's a spoolie on the other end for shaping.

GOSH Growth Mascara (£8.49): A lovely lengthening mascara that holds a curl all day. I usually apply two coats to the top lashes and then hold the wand vertically to define the lower lashes. This stops them from looking too spidery.

GOSH CC Cream (£8.99): My favourite everyday base. It provides sheer, natural looking coverage and makes skin glow. Not sure how oilier skins would fare with this but it breathes life into dry skin like mine.

Per-fekt Skin Perfection Conceal (£15 - £17.50 from Beauty Bay): I've had this for months now and I'm still nowhere near to running out, which makes me feel better about the price tag. This concentrated concealer is the best thing I've ever used on my dark circles and it contains spot-busting ingredients for blemishes too.

Topshop Cream Blush in Head Over Heels (£7): A cream-to-powder formula that sits beautifully on skin. Although the coral colour looks alarmingly bright in the pan it actually gives you a pretty, healthy flush.

Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm (£3.69): I bought this balm a couple of weeks ago and I am never going back. It's the best thing I've found for keeping lips smooth and soft.

Topshop Lips in Macaroon (£8): An everyday pink. I've been dabbing it on with my fingers for a stain effect, it looks more carefree than a perfectly precise lip.

Collection Pressed Powder in Ivory (£1.99): Just a swish over my t-zone. I prefer to do that than to apply powder over my entire face because it looks more natural.

The Body Shop Face & Body Brush (£16): I've owned this brush for years and it's still going strong. Perfect for the aforementioned powder application.
