LUSH Celestial Facial Moisturiser (v)

Toasty could easily become a Lush fan blog and I make no apologies for that. I love the brand's ethical stance, the vast range of products, and how open they are about the ingredients in every single thing they sell. I love that whenever I go into a store, whether I'm in South Wales or South East England, the staff are always polite, helpful, and happy to share their tips and recommendations with me  it's like going beauty shopping with a (very fragrant) friend.

LUSH Celestial Moisturiser

Up for discussion today is Celestial Facial Moisturiser, which contains Fair Trade vanilla water, almond oil, almond milk, and Fair Trade organic cocoa butter, among other things. Much like a good trophy husband, Celestial is rich, gentle, and reliable it's very soothing on the skin, and hasn't inflamed any of my breakouts. In fact, the assistant from Lush Cardiff specifically recommended Celestial to me because I said I have sensitive, spot-prone skin. As always, though, everyone's skin is different, and what works for me may not work for you (nab a sample if you're not sure).

The one feature of Celestial which stops me from labelling it a Holy Grail product is how long it takes to sink in: it takes forever. When you're planning to layer on SPF and foundation over the top (don't worry, I double cleanse!) this is far from ideal. Obviously this isn't an issue in the evening, when I take my time to slather moisturiser on, but in the mornings when I'm rushing about? Not so fun.

So, would I repurchase? Maybe, but I'd still keep an eye out for something that's more easily absorbed.

Lush Celestial Facial Moisturiser costs £12.50 for 45g.

Have you ever tried Celestial before? What's your favourite moisturiser at the moment? Let me know in the comments!
