|Wales can be pretty damn beautiful at this time of year. This was the first day of November, and the sun was out all day. Pity it didn’t stay that way!|
November was a ridiculously rainy month, but I tried not to let that get in the way of anything (although I did discover that my boots aren’t actually waterproof…). I’ve spent most of my time trying to get my coursework written, and then either collapsing at home in front of the TV, or collapsing in the pub. Crazy student life, right?
1. A evening in the city.
If you’d have told me that I’d be wandering round the Christmas market with a smile on my face, I would have been horrified, because I’m one of those people who doesn’t get festive until at least 1st December. But it was so cute and Christmassy, and everyone looked like they were having such a good time, that I couldn’t help enjoying it. Plus, I’d just had a massive burrito, so I was already in a pretty good mood.
Does anything else need to be said? I don’t think so.
3. I’m A Celebrity…
Well, I think we can all agree that the term ‘celebrity’ is a little loose here, but whatever. This is actually my first year watching the show, and I was hooked from the moment Lady C asked the question ‘What are bollocks?’ with completely sincerity in her eyes. Shitty reality TV shows are my guilty pleasure — hell, I don’t even feel guilty about it — and I’m A Celeb has firmly placed itself on my list of likes. My housemate Harry and I spend half the time wondering who’s in it because they’re broke and who’s in it because they’re crazy, and half the time squirming about all the disgusting bugs. Perfect viewing after a day of getting work done in the library.
4. Making Christmas plans with my family.
I go home in just under two weeks and I can’t bloody wait! I’ve missed everyone huge amounts. With all the horrific things that have been going on in the news recently, I’m feeling very grateful to have them, even if we spend a lot of time apart.
How has November been for you? Do you get Christmassy the minute Halloween is over, or are you more like me? Let me know in the comments.
