I’ve mentioned my love of berry lips many a time but something I haven’t talked about so much is the sheer joy that bronze and gold make-up bring to my life.
The latest product in my collection is Barry M Waterproof Eyeliner in Bronze, which I use as more of a cream eyeshadow/pencil cross. I line my eyes all the way around and then smudge the colour; it’s an easy way to make blue eyes stand out.
Perhaps the most shimmery, festive make-up product I own is e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow in Celebrity, a gorgeous gold shade that brightens the eyes on its own, and adds a little extra something to a smoky eye when patted over the top. NARS Illuminator in Orgasm works wonderfully along the top of the cheekbones in evening; it looks particularly good when worn alongside red lips.

The MUA Undress Me Too Palette is one I didn’t really use when I first bought it, but oh how times have changed! The six shades here are the ones I like the most; I love using Devotion and Fiery to create a golden version of a smoky eye. These shades are very pigmented and don’t cause any fallout, despite being so shimmery.
Aah, the queen of all eyeshadow palettes. It was love from the moment I opened the Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette on Christmas Day 2013. The Prime shade makes the perfect base (and also looks beautiful worn alone), Enhance adds warmth (but not so much that your eyes look swollen), Smoke adds the drama, and Pop is just beautiful, creating a gold foil-like effect.
Do you like to use gold and bronze shades? Let me know in the comments!
Note: Although NARS was a cruelty-free brand at the time of writing, they have since decided to sell their products in China as of June 2017 and therefore are no longer cruelty-free.
