Hello everyone, how are you all? I’ve just about recovered from my timed assignment last week (task set on 9am on Day 1, must be complete and handed in on Day 2, just as stressful as it sounds) and Christmas shopping on Saturday (Cardiff was heaaaving). Now that’s out of the way all I can think about is going home for the holidays. Five days, people, five days!
The Seven Deadly Sins of Beauty is a tag, and I found a draft for it in my documents when I was having a clear-out a while back. I must have forgotten to add it to my blog schedule originally (oops) but better late than never, right? I can’t remember whose blog I found it on originally, but thank you, whoever you may be!
1. Greed. What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?
I get the vast majority of my make-up from places like Superdrug, so it’s all quite reasonably priced. I think the most inexpensive products I own are lipsticks from Makeup Revolution — a mere £1 each. As for the most expensive, it’s probably the Dolce Vita Palette from Charlotte Tilbury, which costs £39 and was a Christmas present (student budget!)
2. Wrath. What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?
I have a huuuuge love/hate relationship with eyeliner, because it looks amazing when you get it right but I always manage to smudge it and get it down my face (probably my fault more than anything). The most difficult products to get hold of so far have been those by theBalm, because although the brand is sold in my local Superdrug Beauty Studio they don’t have the full range, and I like to see new products before I buy them.
3. Gluttony. What are your most delicious beauty products?
I love the smell of the Candy Mountain Bubble Bar from LUSH — I don’t want to use up the one I have at the moment because it’s making my room smell so good!
4. Sloth. What beauty products do you neglect due to laziness?
Body lotion. I do try and make the time for it, but tbh it’s just too cold in my bathroom to faff around.
5. Pride. What beauty products give you the most self-confidence?
A good foundation and concealer, some eyebrow pencil, blusher, and a pretty lipstick.
6. Lust. What products are you currently lusting after?
Where to start?! I’ve put the NARS Dead Of Summer Palette on my Christmas list because it just looks so frickin’ beautiful. I also really like the look of the Meet Matt(e) Nude Matte Eyeshadow Palette from theBalm, because it contains shades I’d wear a lot. Do I really need another eyeshadow palette though?
7. Envy. What items would you most like to receive as a gift?
Both of the products from the lust list above, or anything from Charlotte Tilbury♥
