Treats For the Evening, with Yes To Blueberries and Lush

Yes To Blueberries Hydrating Body Wash

LUSH Candy Mountain Bubble Bar

University is, without a doubt, a huge cause of stress for me at the minute (shout-out to any fellow third years, we can do it!) so I love nothing more than being able to relax in the evening. A warm shower or, if I have a bit more time to spare, a hot bath, is the perfect way to unwind, so I thought I’d talk about two products that I’ve been reaching for a lot recently.

I count my lucky stars every day that I have a bath in my student house now, because it’s one of the things I missed most when I left home (apart from my family and friends, obvs). Bathing is still a luxury, because bills, but I still try and take the time to have a dip about once a week, and I’ve been loving the Lush Candy Mountain Bubble Bar (v), £2.95. It has a very sweet candyfloss scent  Snow Fairy in bubble bar form  plus it turns the water pink, and leaves your bath filled with lots of lovely frothy bubbles. The candy-stripe design is super-cute, too.

Most days, I would rather jump in and out of the shower, so I like to use the Yes To Blueberries Ultra Hydrating Body Wash, £4.99. It contains blueberries and shea butter, and is also scented with lavender  not a combination I would have considered putting together myself, but it just works, and although I’m not the biggest lavender fan, I do find it very calming before I go to bed. The body wash is free from SLS, but still contains sodium coco-sulphate, so just be aware of that if you prefer your products to be completely sulphate-free. However, I don’t find it as drying as most body washes with sulphates in them, and I can occasionally skip moisturiser if I’m feeling lazy.

What products do you like to use on winter evenings? Let me know in the comments!
